"Ms. Nichols’ luxuriant, pliable mezzo was a treat to savor."
Kaylee Nichols, American Mezzo-Soprano, has been hailed as “stellar”, “energetic,” and “excellent.” She recently appeared with Nashville Opera to reprise her role as Maddalena in Rigoletto and with Sarasota Opera as an Apprentice Artist. This season, she will be returning to Nashville Opera as Mrs. Nolan in The Medium. Upcoming performances include making her house and role debuts as Michele in a workshop for The Righteous by Gregory Spears and Tracy K. Smith for Cincinnati Opera and the Kitchen Boy in Rusalka at The Santa Fe Opera as a member of the 2023 Apprentice Singer Program.
Ms. Nichols began the 2021-22 season by being named a Tennessee District Encouragement Winner for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She also debuted with the Springfield Symphony as the Alto Soloist in their Mozart Requiem and at Central City Opera as a member of the Bonfils-Stanton Artist Training Program where she covered the title role in Dido and Aeneas and sang Giovanna in the family performance of Rigoletto.
